I wouldn’t say that’s UK specific. I understood they were trying to say something about masculinity.

That’s a very generous reading of what I consider to be a lazy and terrible film. But sure.

I’d agree if there wasn’t the scene in the train with the female zombie. The female characters are either fucking, maternal, or birthing.

Fascinating that 28 Days Later was so critical of limiting women’s roles to breeding machines to repopulate the UK to 28 Years Later where they’re like, jk it’s cool now.
