The best thing that happened to him was him being arrested at the airport a few days before this trial began.
The pitiful media and political backlash to that has got him off (for the most part) on this case too.

Also made sure to degender her further by removing any mention of βMs Brooksβ.
25.11.2025 12:10 β π 149 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Arguably made it worse on the βbiologicalβ part.
Before it was at least recognising her as a trans woman.
Now the βbiological maleβ part comes before βidentifies as a womanβ (that wasnβt there before) to give it more prominence as well as make it sound like being trans is all make believe.
βMs Brooks, who was 18 at the time, is a trans woman who was born a biological male.β
Aside from the gross last part of this BBC News sentence, wasnβt she 17 at the time?
Leaking the guidance for it to be published online 3 hours before and in the papers for Trans Day of Remembrance.
How very calculated.
Itβs against their current BBC News style guide to write a slur towards trans women like this.
Note they donβt use βcisgenderβ because it can cause offence, so they certainly shouldnβt be using βtrans identified maleβ.
Probably on December 24th to stop us having any joy over Christmas.
30.07.2025 15:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm sorry that happened. Itβs completely unacceptable and also just weird from her, as weβre in the UK and we donβt even really use βsirβ and βmadamβ in most customer service settings. So needless.
22.07.2025 12:01 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Both her and Rebecca Paul (the two GCs in the room) have asked softball questions that have given her the opportunity to big herself up.
That is telling in itself.
Yep, a BBC Sport presenter not allowed an opinion on βcontentiousβ issues, but an actual BBC News presenter is allowed to βcorrectβ the autocue by inserting her OWN opinion live on the BBC over an issue the BBC also deem contentious.
The hypocrisy will always be off the chart there.
Nice of the BBC to not only keep paying her at Wimbledon but also giving her an opportunity last week to spread her anti-trans sentiment in those supposedly serious long form interviews they do for TV.
26.06.2025 09:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yeah, the LTA is infected with GCs. They were banning a trans woman coach from using the womenβs changing rooms and toilets at their facilities long before the Supreme Court ruling.
They cited it was their policy and emailed her name out to other employees to help police it.
Tweet from Allison Bailey of LGB Alliance (@BluskyeAllison) on 4th July 2021. It reads: βSomeone just threw a Wispa chocolate bar into my garden along with a lemon. I found my dog eating the chocolate, I think in time to have stopped it from killing him β chocolate is highly poisonous to dogs. Right side of history my arse.β

11.06.2025 16:33 β π 709 π 165 π¬ 39 π 63I will never get over just how unimpressive Baroness Falkner is whenever she is called in front of the Women and Equalities Committee.
She's utterly shambolic every time.
A poll on Mumsnet probably.
11.06.2025 13:34 β π 15 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have drafted a template letter which you can send to the Women and Equalities Select Committee and the Joint Committee on Human Rights, concerning the proposed appointment of Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson as the new head of the EHRC.
Please share widely.

Last paragraph of the Evening standard review saying "I was originally going to praise the BBC for making such a fulsome show about the experience of a working-class trans woman, given the broadcasterβs tendency to both-sides LGBTQ+ rights as though itβs up for debate. Then they published a feature on For A Girl that lead on disparaging quotes from anti-trans activist Maya Forrester. Old habits die hard perhaps, but at least this show got made before the mask was fully removed."
Evening Standard even called it out in their last paragraph of the review...

Cass is the Wakefield of our time. A scandal in broad daylight
Just out! Our peer-reviewed critique of the Cass Review has been published by BMC Medical Research Methodology. Please read and share. We show that the Cass Review is fatally flawed and should not be the basis for policy or practice in transgender healthcare.

25.04.2025 09:21 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't know much about their PM, but the story I've seen suggests it is their deputy PM from a coalition who has proposed a bill to define gender by biological sex. His party is New Zealand First.
Apparently it is unlikely to pass as it has to be selected at random and then get majority support.
All of this past week has been a bit too perfect in timing for Labour, allowing cover/reason to align with Trump and co to get some kind of weak trade deal.
22.04.2025 18:03 β π 68 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I assume it has been pointed out that BBC News deleted the mention of the removal of restrictions on βimmigration, gender and gender identityβ from their online article about Meta updating their guidelines.
I wonder why? π
I used to mainly use it to keep up-to-date with trans related stuff and most people have understandably left so Iβll be deleting it very soon I think.
If youβve tired of arguing the idiots then I see no reason not to do the same, as it appears a lot of the community is here now anyway.
Depends on your definition of toxic and what constitutes it in this scenario?
Otherwise you can easily get into the realms of anything cosmetic, surgery or otherwise, being deemed toxic, which isnβt the case all the time.
FWIW I agree to a point.
