Before it was at least recognising her as a trans woman.

Now the “biological male” part comes before “identifies as a woman” (that wasn’t there before) to give it more prominence as well as make it sound like being trans is all make believe.

“Ms Brooks, who was 18 at the time, is a trans woman who was born a biological male.”

Aside from the gross last part of this BBC News sentence, wasn’t she 17 at the time?

It’s against their current BBC News style guide to write a slur towards trans women like this.

Note they don’t use “cisgender” because it can cause offence, so they certainly shouldn’t be using “trans identified male”.

I’m sorry that happened. It’s completely unacceptable and also just weird from her, as we’re in the UK and we don’t even really use “sir” and “madam” in most customer service settings. So needless.

Yeah, the LTA is infected with GCs. They were banning a trans woman coach from using the women’s changing rooms and toilets at their facilities long before the Supreme Court ruling.

They cited it was their policy and emailed her name out to other employees to help police it.

Then they published a feature on For A Girl that lead on disparaging quotes from anti-trans activist Maya Forrester. Old habits die hard perhaps, but at least this show got made before the mask was fully removed."

I don't know much about their PM, but the story I've seen suggests it is their deputy PM from a coalition who has proposed a bill to define gender by biological sex. His party is New Zealand First.

Apparently it is unlikely to pass as it has to be selected at random and then get majority support.

All of this past week has been a bit too perfect in timing for Labour, allowing cover/reason to align with Trump and co to get some kind of weak trade deal.

I assume it has been pointed out that BBC News deleted the mention of the removal of restrictions on “immigration, gender and gender identity” from their online article about Meta updating their guidelines.

I wonder why? 🙄

I used to mainly use it to keep up-to-date with trans related stuff and most people have understandably left so I’ll be deleting it very soon I think.

If you’ve tired of arguing the idiots then I see no reason not to do the same, as it appears a lot of the community is here now anyway.

Otherwise you can easily get into the realms of anything cosmetic, surgery or otherwise, being deemed toxic, which isn’t the case all the time.
