The results are clear:
🏠92% say homecare increases NHS capacity.
💷90% say it delivers cost savings.
🧑🏿‍🤝‍🧑🏿71% say it improves access for patients.

👩‍⚕️Without pharmaceutical investment, access to homecare could shrink. Nearly half (49%) of NHS professionals say fewer patients would receive homecare if it were solely NHS-funded. (4/4)

🛏️New analysis from Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust shows patients on homecare spent 2.4 fewer days in hospital on average and had half the number of A&E visits compared to those treated in hospital. (3/4)

💊Each year, the pharmaceutical industry invests £173 million to fund clinical homecare for more than 512,000 patients - supporting access to life - changing treatments outside hospital settings. (2/4)

Spending Review – NHS must invest more in proven innovations.

A greater focus to be put on investing in those areas of health spending that have the strongest evidence for both value for money and for directly improving patient outcomes.

This sends a terrible message to international investors at a time when the UK is trying to position life sciences research and development as an engine for health and growth.

As a result, the UK is likely to lose out on £11 billion in R&D investment by 2033.
