It’s so so so so freeing!!

If I can be totally honest and vulnerable, something happened about six months ago in my life that forced me to rebuild my confidence from the ground up. This has all been an effort toward that. I’ve put in a lot of hard work, and I feel like it’s finally paying off and showing.

Not to brag but I got so many compliments on my outfit tonight from both the House of McQueen cast and a couple of friends, which is so so so so nice. I’ve felt really good about myself lately and I love how my style has evolved, especially as I get closer to 40.

Hey, not to sound silly, but I am adorable and kind and worthwhile and my presence is a joyous addition in other peoples’ lives! (Feeling this way took thousands of dollars worth of therapy)

COVID blows -100000/10 would not recommend. tangentially related, i rewatched rwrb last night for kicks and ngl, after all the reelshort BL clips i’ve been exposing myself to as they come up on my fyp, it felt like i was watching saltburn.

That was the exact same sentiment I heard throughout the day. We were actually right at the front of the line in Union Sq when they ran out of cards, but they still let us take a picture of the first clue :) Truly an unforgettable day!

New Yorkers LOVE a free event in the city and an opportunity to explore our home. And in a world continuously being dominated by generative AI, people are also yearning for authenticity and community. It was a perfect opportunity to capture this moment.

And the Mamdani volunteers were MORE than accommodating and so enthusiastic every step of the way!

Frankly, I haven't seen a coalition like this since Bernie. It's also proof that people yearn for community and a shared purpose and goal. I've talked to more people who came alone and walked away with 12 new friends. Dems and their consultants couldn't even begin to replicate this kind of movement.

What happened yesterday - and indeed, what has prevailed across this entire campaign - was a lightning in a bottle moment of optimism & fun. New Yorkers love our city. It's why we choose to live here and want the best for it. Mamdani is a candidate that is actually fighting for the city he lives in.

Common sense COMPLETELY out the window. Besides, the true spirit of the day was the sheer vivacity and moxy of the thousands of New Yorkers that got out there and did it anyway WITHOUT getting the prize in the end. Just for the love of the game/a shared movement.

I've seen so many braindead takes on the 🐦 app from both Dems and Republicans that Mamdani's #ZcavengerHunt was somehow a failure because they ran out of cards early on and didn't meet the demand. Nevermind that the cards were capped because the prize was LITERALLY meeting him in the end.

Adams dunking on his own constituents is definitely something.

I gave Paul Mescal a bouquet of flowers tonight for his closing performance in Streetcar 🩷 Such a sweet guy. Hope he comes back to New York soon.

It definitely makes me feel a certain type of way when people tell me I look better. There are ways to compliment me without shooting down how I used to look. It still gives me the ick.
