I have documented opinions that show this is the case - one reason why PSEO is so powerful.

While the de minimus exemption causes lots of people to realize how tariffs are impacting them directly, I am reminded of the long literature on the different effects of *where* taxes are collected and how that impacts their salience.

Should be fun to read the papers in a few years on this topic.
