Well it is a very unique phenomenon, and I think it's saying something that it's taking place. That's how far he's gone, that's how dangerous he is, and that's how worried people are. Even outside of the US. It concerns us all, the havoc he's making.

So while it's ironic, considering the slogan for the movement is "No Kings" (surely referring to the all mighty rulers of the past), I wouldn't say there's anything bizarre with people protesting the dismantling of your democracy, no matter the head-of-state-structure of one's country.

In the context of the post under which we are having this discussion, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. No country is perfect, so oc there's gonna be issues to be found with monarchical ones. But right now the U.S. is facing a threat in Trump that cannot be compared to these monarchies.

A lot of people have commented on this. While I do agree that still having kings and queens is quite silly, I just wanna make sure you do realize that our kings don't have any real power. It's just a title, a tradition we cling onto for some reason.
