It occurred to me today how having CPTSD under capitalism is a cool double-whammy because you spend so much time trying to learn "I won't be immediately abandoned when I am imperfect" and then you spend 40 hours a week trying to pretend to be perfect so you don't lose your home

Thank you to the dental hygienist who, when I mentioned I'd had FFS (in case they noticed scarring or such in my mouth), excitedly went "I *thought* you looked different!" with a big smile. That is a good way to react thank you.

When the Earth Was Green is a beautiful read (or listen! Wren Mack brings lovely "elementary school story time with the best teacher" energy to it). I thought I wasn't interested in the science of plants and by the end I was deeply emotional about plants.

A moderate financial windfall is happening and while a lot of it is going to grown up things like paying down surgery debt, I let myself have a bit for something frivolous. Something I didn't feel like I should.
