Boy oh boy, season two of TNG is a land of contrasts. After a couple greats, “Up The Long Ladder” feels like a leftover 1st season ep. So many silly moments that also highly stereotype the Irish. And like season one, the ending feels like the gross sex colony fantasy of an elderly series creator

It’s really something to read Spencer’s exit letter mentioning all the studios he bought under Xbox, because it’s essentially a serial killer’s list of all the people his replacement will be laying off (if Spencer hadn’t already laid them off in the last few years)

This should change people’s minds that there will ever be another actual video game console called an “Xbox.” If you’re lucky, the brand will live on when repurposed for a new, AI-driven murderous drone program Microsoft sells to the US military

It’s cool, but gotta think Yebisu really dropped the ball here by not being the official 30th anniversary beer, given the history

recently watched an episode of Star Trek TNG with the Duras sisters, so I'm reposting this thing I drew in 2022

You get revelations from The Borg, Guinan, Q, and more. It’s still going to be a little hard to wait through the next handful of episodes until season three, but this reminded me of the highs to come. You can tell that once this aired the TNG creators realized they discovered something special

Just finished “Q Who,” even better than I remembered. Q sells it as a preview of the future, both literally & metatextually. It’s shows how awesome Next Gen is going to be. Almost feels like a soft reboot for the entire series. Most modern shows would stretch this amount of plot over half a season

People told me that I was stirring up something that wasn’t gonna happen. That I was an alarmist. Even had journalist tell me that there was no indication that EVO and Saudi would ever get in bed together.

I got death threats, doxxed, had YouTube videos made of me and it’s part of why I moved here

SPOILERS for old AC games no one is going to play. They spend the first three games building up Desmond as this big deal and Lucy as his love interest, and then in Brotherhood he just stabs her for no reason and time kinda just stops. It seriously was the Poochie scene, and the next game says...

This reminded me that Kristen Bell was in the first 3 Assassin's Creeds as a key character for the Desmond story, and the writers sloppily ended it. Not only that, but the director later admitted that they killed off Bell's character without telling her because she wanted royalties after three games

Many similar situations after a show’s first decade end up with creators handing over the cartoon to new showrunners while the old guys stay on as executive producers/highly paid voice actors. Gotta imagine it’s a tempting offer when the dump trucks full of money start rolling up

I’ll be legit impressed if they get a big renewal offer for seasons 6-10 all at once and they still say “no, we only want to do 5”
