Not normally one to judge transfer activity before the end of the month. But OG has already commented on how late the summer signings came in, we really need some progress soon. Really hoping whatever the hold up is with Esse gets resolved so we at least have another body available for the weekend

We can normally write off August and the first couple of weeks of September. We do seem to take our time. It’s frustrating because for once we have a manager who has a chance of achieving something brilliant, if you give him a full squad rather than just a strong starting 11 when all are fit

I think the rumour is it’s to do with the release clause he wants to put in Esse’s contract. Been a few days since it was announced the signing was close, but we tend not to rush transfers anyway so no idea how much truth there is. Hopefully a positive update will come tomorrow
