24.09.2025 10:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm honoured to be speaking at the @stclarehospice.bsky.social Hospice Palliative Care Conference on Friday 10th October.
This year's theme is 'The future of end of life care' & I'll be talking about how we can deliver more equitable #EndOfLifeCare by changing our approach to future uncertainties
Bella Madden, our public research partner, shares a heartfelt poem on anticipatory injectable medications in end-of-life care. The poem accompanies a new research paper exploring family carers experiences with these practices.

This personal piece by Robbie puts his writings on attachment theory in context of his life n parenting. It is heartbreakingly matter of fact about what he's been through. But the analytic upshot is that attachment theory has clear implications in this more extreme situation too. A pleasure to read.

Parallel planning for multiple future possibilities can help to map out the bounds of uncertainty.
People with multiple serious illnesses often face an uncertain future, and most people want to have open conversations about it, so its important to have a guide to support these conversations

Yup, this is why we need to respond to Sir Chris Whittys survey request about medical training for the future. We must plan for a workforce who can deliver healthcare aligned to needs of patients, the majority of which have MLTC. Similar, of course, for nursing/AHP @gerisoc.bsky.social
