The worst is, because of the awful quality audio I frequently got delivered, I couldn‘t even get a good end result. Shit in shit out. & ofc, if the audio is bad, people blame the audio engineer. It reflects poorly on me. So I‘ve been doing all that work for what amounts to a disgrace to my name.

for a last minute change, gotten headaches from having to listen to distorted, scratchy audio for hours on end & much, much more. The majority of this unpaid, mind you. & It’s not just this film, this has been my experience with all but one filmmakers I’ve ever worked with. I‘m done with it.

I‘ve had deadlines set that were impossible to meet, audio delivered that was so bad in quality that it was fully unsalvagable (and then was questioned why I couldn‘t fix it), been asked what I even did when I spent hours trying to salvage horrible quality audio, asked to throw hours of work away

Delivered the audio post production for a film recently & i think this‘ll be the last film I‘ll ever do. I thought I‘d still do small projects here and there that seem important to me but it rly seems like even in passion projects, filmmakers will never respect the work that goes into sound.

- My dog is getting surgery next month - it is a tumor but it‘s not cancer & won‘t be a complicated procedure, but it‘s of course still scary! She is happy and healthy as can be however. Here is a video of one of the local crows i feed bullying her

oldest sister & fetch up one of my twin baby sisters who wants to move to germany to study. W/ my horrible f*ther gone I can have the twins & my stepmum in my life again & I‘ve been loving that! Going to Thailand will be full-on concidering the trauma there, but it might help me heal too.
