A small step would to just print better entry promos for Calling-level events. I'd love to see what LSS can do, considering they used to be what I would consider a top dog in the OP structure space. Other TCGs have given players more prize segmentation, and that rewards both time and effort.

Of course I don't know happens behind the scenes or how promos are selected, but I'm coming to this from a customer experience angle. Entry fees are not low (and I'm okay with that) but bubbling on prizes feels bad after running a 2 day gauntlet.

If we gave something decently interesting, like a playable M-level promo for Day 2, it could help with scarcity for good cards rather than waiting for an expansion slot reprint.

Making Day 2 should feel rewarding whether you're x-0 or x-2. The x-2 player usually has to play perfectly in order to make min cash, otherwise, you're walking home empty handed.

The entry promos are generally not chosen well I feel, and the market responds in kind. Travelling for these events feels like it's a huge gamble, and it's felt like a disincentive for me as someone who loves to play the game and see the world. At the end, I still want to travel for the game!

My FAB wishlist this year is relooking the OP prize and promo structure.

After dabbling in other TCGs during this downtime between sets, and Calling-level equivalent events, I think we're missing the plot. FAB is incredible for top players, but it feels bad for those who day 2 and crash.

Dropping by just to say that SAGE is really such a fun format for FAB.

It's truly the casual format of the game and I'm here for it.

Is the banlist clunky? Yes. But is it worth the onboarding for new players? I think resoundingly so

I had high hopes coming off some back to back powerful set designs. Your assessment is valid, and I would go as far as to say that guardian only got sidegrades -- and that's not great considering where they currently stand.

How are people finding the impact of MPG at the moment? I think it's done some cool things for guardian but I expected a big splash to make them a little more competitive.

It's interesting design space, but the game's power creep is as such that crush feels like a very underwhelming keyword.

What I need are novels. Rathe is full of amazing stories, and I need them like the old MtG paperbacks. What a time!

Just like Enigma, GBones is proving to be a fun deck to solve the puzzle around. The armory deck provides a great skeleton (pun unintended) of what the deck could be, but that doesn't hamper the amount of flexibility and creative deck building the hero allows.

Honestly this should just be on all podcasting platforms. Hearing Devs, straight at the source, is just great for the growth of this game. I don't think there's any other game that puts this much love into showing that they are gamers at heart and are a part of the community!

Assassin in general had issues when they were ahead and drew a low/no-disruption hand. Similar to Vynsett today. I don't think midrange is bad or dead, just wasn't consistent and overshadowed by better numbers aggro decks

My personal thought around it is the issue of midrange consistency. Florian is probably a good example of a deck that functions well today! So yes, mid-range is alive in a world without Auroras and Zens (premiere aggro).

I think that was a fair expectation. Seeing the new cards and Death Dealer in the format still, I thought 3oak might have been a contender

I agree. It's been awhile since a good midrange deck has been established in the meta. My hope is that guardian truly makes a comeback with their pack this year.

If they can print 1 card 7 value ranger blocks, they can definitely step it up for the midrangers.
