“Kidding, of course. But I am kinda curious about where these threads lead and why they exist.”
“That’s quite a lot.”
[she pets the Litten a bit more before sending it back into its ball]
“Well, I should get going. Apparently a person of interest is somewhere in Kalos… and I keep sensing these invisible threads leading me to people like you. Maybe you meant something to a me in a past life!”
“If I did this right, then I should be able to look at a Pokémon and it’ll tell me it’s data…”
[she looks at Litten, with her visor on.]
“Litten, Level 5, Female… And then there’s a bunch of combat stats and miscellaneous stuff.”
“Number 725 in the Dex… Just how many of these guys are there?”
[Her eyes close, a Void tendril wire extends from her arm, connecting to her phone as it intermittently glows red.]
“Looks like I can put this in my visor. Just gotta move that there and… Bingo!”
[the wire retracts, as she sends out Litten]

[she takes it out, a noticeable spider-web pattern on the case]
[she rubs the back of her head, sheepishly]
“I keep doing that, don’t I? Is there a way for me to download the Pokédex from somewhere? All I need is a device that has it and I should be able to get at install it into my visor.”
“Oh, I think it was called a Dex! It was an app on Terry’s phone, but I don’t think my phone could use it since the operating systems are so different… Maybe there’s a way to download it onto my visor like I did with the map data and…”
[she gets lost in thought quickly]
“I mean, I have my school ID… Oh, and my Hero License!”
[a swift look of realization, for obvious reasons]
“I wish there was a way to track what Pokémon I’ve seen or caught though. Writing in notebooks is fun, I admit. But there’s probably an automatic way of doing that type of thing…”
“I guess that means I’m a Trainer now.”
[she looks at her reflection beaming off the Poké Ball, smiling.]
“Thanks, Professor Tajiri. I think my time here has just gotten a lot more fun.”
[she spins the ball on her finger]
“Is there anything else I would need as a Trainer?”
“I…”
[the Litten nuzzles up to her hand holding the Poké Ball, and taps its paw on it, entering the ball as it shakes 3 times, and clicking]
“Um, does that usually happen? Aren’t you supposed to throw the ball?”
[confusion and curiosity reflect off her eyes]
“I know that, but…”
[the realization dawns on her]
“You’re saying I can catch Litten? Wouldn’t that inconvenience you?”
[she catches it in her free hand]
“This is a Poké Ball, right? Why give me this?”
“A-Anyways, I know I shouldn’t hold you up for much longer, but I don’t think I wanna leave Litten’s side… and I don’t think it wants to leave my lap.”
[The Litten starts lightly gnawing on her hand, causing a bit of iridescent blood to flow from one of her fingers]
“I think it really likes me.”
“I wasn’t born with it, but I love them all the same!”
[her tone suddenly shifts deadpan as her eyes avert themselves]
“Even if Himi was responsible for around 20+ murders and partially responsible for causing most of Japan to collapse for a few months.”
[a silence]

“Himi’s Quirk lets her suck blood from people and transform into them, so she has little fangs. She’s not a cat, but she has the spirit of one.”
“The real furball is Chloe, though she’s more of a wolf. Both of my sisters have a Vampirism aspect, so they need blood as a dietary requirement.”
“It also feels super warm… it’s comforting.”
[her hand slowly moves around as she pets it, itching behind its ears and chin]
“Reminds me of one of my sisters.”
[she tries to very slowly start petting it]
“It’s so soft…”
“Meow to you to…”
[she doesn’t want to scare it again, so she waits for what it’ll do next]
“What, like just sitting down?”
[she sits down on the floor, and beckons the Litten over]
[her eyes when in mild surprise]
“Not the first time a cat tried to scratch me while trying to pet it… But it’s so cute…”
[she gasps sharply, a response to seeing something so adorable]
“Kiby…”
‘My teacher’s gonna be so jealous…’
[she reaches out her hand slowly towards the Litten, palm facing upwards to not scare the Pokémon]
“Wowie zowie! They’re all super cute! And… there’s a lot of them… If Anima were here, he would be unstoppable!”
“Now where’s that Litten?”
“Really!? That would be awesome!”
[she hops to her feet, excited]
“Please.”
[that’s all she says as she sits back down]
“Is that what it is? Wait—
[suddenly, she slams her hands on the nearest table]
“Is there one here?”
[in her hardened stare, Sun could see the darkness of a familiar Void stare back at him]
“G-Gah!”
[her focus breaks as she drops her pencil]
“Ugh, my bad, seems like one of my friends passed on his muttering habit to me…”
[a sigh]
“You know, I was wondering. I think there was this Pokémon I really liked. It was… a cat that was had red and black like me… and had these big whiskers.”
[while he was explaining things, Vigil took notes in a notebook, labelled “Pokémon”, muttering often]
“So the entire type chart is one huge roshambo with 18x18 different choices and while some are stronger than others, you can take advantage of the chart to…”
[she’s uh, still muttering afterwards]
[she heads in, and takes a seat in the nearest chair. Surely teaching someone who knows absolutely nothing about Pokémon isn’t going to take a long time]
“So, um, what type of Pokémon is Pikachu?”
[oh dear, this is gonna take a while]
“Thanks!”
[a moment passes, with nothing happening at all as an awkward silence passes over]
“Maybe we should head inside, don’t think I can learn anything standing next to your… uh… garbage disposal.”
