Just as everyone else i'm not really happy how Trump handles Ukraine, but the current news about the treaty over rate minerals does give at least a bit of hope for the future, which is a better direction than what it seemed to be going to

I think he despises that, because it's the one thing that his tactics of denigration won't work against. He's battled systems his whole life in New York and Washington and they never really budge, because they're not built on singular humans, but on rules, whether they're communist, or European.

But the strange thing is this: they don't seem to have anything in common. Except they're both systems. They're not countries led by strong men (women) but by commission.

I think if you consider his apparently erratic behavior and talking you can only come to the conclusion he hates both the EU and China.

He keeps heaping heat on China, though everyone knows they won't budge. He lets Putin have his way with Ukraine and tells the EU to solve it. He talks with individual leaders (Starmer, Meloni, Macron), but ignores communal servants like Von der Leyen or Kaja Kallas.
