Basically, it confuses AI and destroys it's way of understanding how a picture works. And, if a lot of people use it, it can corrupt a lot of data in a long term

However, if you don't want to defend yourself, but to attack the AI, I'd suggest Nightshade:
This, also a free software, functions similarly to Glaze however, this one also disturbs other inside data (I'm not entirely sure how), but, instead of making your art recognizable for AI, it poisons it

If you follow me over Twitter as well, you might have seen that my art have a weird filter over it, that's glaze. It's a defensive method to prevent companies to steal our work to train their AI.
Personally, I like to use it on Twitter and Deviantart.

This is a free software that encrypts your images by disrupting it. It's not very noticeable for the human eye, however, for the AI, it basically leaves it unrecognizable and unable to be used for analysis and replication

Basically, Twitter now wants to use all data and images of it's page to train their AI model
That's already frustrating enough for us artists and wanting to leave the site is completely understandable
However, I want to share with you some little ways you can protect your art from AI in the future~

Something I do whenever there's an art block is to remake old pics. It’s refreshing and interesting seeing how much someone’s style has evolved over time. Usually they remain private or deleted since they are just an exercise to help creativity flow.
This time, a friend convinced me to upload it~
