"Jiumei" is the nickname MXTX herself has come up with for SJ, while SY's nickname from her is "Laoshi"

it's good but i did kind of get slightly bored coming down to the end bcuz it was slow in a way and it felt slightly idk if repetitive is the word... but it is 'wholesome'& if you like a sort of.. cozy romance? idk they were together & there wasn't any drama bet. them for a while before the end iirc

i've seen/read a few bingyuan fics where the premise is "lbh decides to get revenge on sj his evil former teacher by fucking sj's younger brother whom he's protective of" and i'm always just like. did the author intend for this to be as bingjiu as it is coming across...

Worst shen jiu hater argument is he 'chose' to be like that as if he had free will when by nature a narrative exists under a pre-determinist framework of action. & SV more literally than others like The System literally is a real in-world force that exerts The Narrarive onto characters.

Shen Jiu and Luo Binghe are basically two sides of the same coin. They’re one in the same. I love the idea of SJ being unable to love LBH bc he hates himself and sees to much of himself in him.

he wants sj to forgive him so badly.. but if sj doesn't forgive him.. at least he gets to just die afterwards while letting sj know that he tried...

his nickname for her was prob kidney stone till she was like five

but secretly he wants to confess... it's just by this point his relationship with sj is just so bad that he thinks that if sj rejects him even after he gives his reason and doesn't forgive him... that he wouldn't be able to live with himself... actively dying kind of saves him from that outcome

I mean to be honest when sj meets yqy at the IAC he literally asks yqy for his reasons and yqy.. just apologises... i personally think that yqy was just ashamed of himself and he actually is the one who thinks that it's not an excuse and no excuse will change the fact that he failed...
