Happens all the time - it’s what counts as pub sports there these days

Paywalled, but the premise is utterly wrong and this is one of those issues where Tim’s buried in the past.
(On a morning where in Oxfordshire we’ve confirmed reopening of the Cowley rail branch, which should never have closed in the first place)
And an Oxfordshire connection to the above…..?

Popped into Deddington and found the crew doing the annual gully emptying - something we’ve restored after many years without it. They’ll need to come back to those with cars parked over, but they’re doing a great job!

It’s time we talked about Swindon.
None of our public services are shared with that town. It would be costly and wasteful to change this.
It faces West. It is economically totally different.
This silly Labour scheme - no Lib Dem councils support it - should be opposed, and loudly.
This is important. I was on the scrutiny committee that heard the impact on the Eye Hospital. The drive for privatisation is coming direct from central government. There have been cases of patients with chronic eye conditions receiving ‘bog standard’ private treatment which failed; cancellations.

18.10.2025 10:54 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Really glad to see @cllrchrisbrant.bsky.social leading the way in resisting the cynical attempt at asset-stripping a community. The details of this case are particularly appalling and demonstrate why planning protection for pubs must be strengthened.

Thank you to @tomgordonld.bsky.social, Lib Dem MP, for speaking up for Trans+ people.

I really don't know what to do about a situation where a plurality of the group that (rightly!) takes up most government spending thinks that it is unrepresented in politics.
