My daughters had a friend sleep over last night and she brought a Kamishabai (Japanese story box). The kids spent hours drawing, writing, and performing stories.

It was a good reminder of why most of us make art & tell stories: we like making art & telling stories.

I appreciate the need for curfews for many venues, but I miss the days of seeing moe. At the new 9:30 Club when they’d start playing at 11pm and stop at 3am. That created a taxi bottleneck so we’d walk from Shaw to Georgetown to get a cab and it was not a thing.
