A fantastic day in Ashington with @ianbyrnemp.bsky.social and @laverymp.bsky.social at the Right to Food Commission.

Hunger is a political failure. We need to pass into law the Right to Food so that no one in our country goes hungry.

Proud to join the Fire Brigade Union at the launch of the Cuts Kill campaign.

In Scotland, we know all about SNP cuts to the Scottish Fire & Rescue service.

πŸ”₯ 1,000 fewer firefighters
πŸ”₯ Less appliances on the run
πŸ”₯ No solution to decontamination issues

The service needs investment, not cuts!

If we are to change the lives of the 29% of Clacks children who are living in poverty, we must make sure they have proper further education opportunities.

I will do what I can as your MP to make sure the Alloa Campus stays open.

Students and staff will always have my full support ✊

For footballers, it's time for dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases to be classed as an industrial injury.

I'm proud to campaign with the Professional Footballer's Association Scotland on this massively important issue.

Here's my column in today's @dailyrecord.co.uk.web.brid.gy πŸ‘‡

If Ratcliffe wants to talk about what damages the UK then he should look at his role in creating unemployment in communities, ending vital national industry & reducing Scotland's economy by Β£400m a year.

The enemy to working class people travels by private jet, not on a dinghy.

McSweeney was at the heart of the political mistakes made since the General Election.

He helped create this factionalism in the Labour Party.

The country and party will be better off after today.

The PM must consider following McSweeney's lead one last time and doing the same.

If this is true, then it is beyond sinister and shows the levels of toxicity and poisonous factionalism that some in the party have created.

Questions must be asked and answers must be given.

The full truth about Mandelson's vetting and appointment must come out.

There has to be an end to cover ups - claiming β€œnational security" is not something to hide behind.

Transparency and accountability should be the base for any government and society.

No worker should be expecting to do a shift at 68 years of age, especially not prison officers.

I’ll continue to campaign in and outside of Parliament and push for a reasonable retirement age for our hard working prison officers.

Reform pledge to cut pint prices by 5p - by reintroducing the two-child benefit cap Reform have been slammed after revealing they would end the two-child benefit cap to fund a 5p reduction in pint prices.

Vote Labour to lift 500,000 kids out of poverty.

Or...

Vote Reform to take 5p off a pint.

The choice is socialism or barbarism.

The fight for the justice WASPI women deserve will not go away.

WASPI women have always had my full support and they always will.

I will continue to fight their corner in and outside of Parliament.

Many Tillicoultry constituents had their lives turned upside down when RAAC was discovered in their homes.

I have always been there for them and highlighted their cause many times in Parliament.

They deserve answers, accountability and a fair solution from the Scottish Government.

20 years of the SNP with zero industrial strategy and them spending Β£7.7 billion of public money with foreign companies:

🚌 from China
⛴️ from Turkey & Poland
πŸ₯ NHS contracts to France

Everyone bar Scottish workers, communities and business benefit from the SNP!

Inequality and the poverty it leads to are political failures and a stain on our country.

And it doesn't have to be that way.

We must build a society where no one falls through the cracks.

Let the Labour Party members of the Gorton & Denton constituency decide on their candidate. That's democracy.

The NEC should always want the Parliamentary Labour Party to be the best it can be, filled with ability.

No doubting Andy Burnham would make the PLP stronger.

Plans to reduce maintenance at Zetland Park and close Grangemouth Sports Complex would be devastating for Grangemouth.

The local community have come together in objecting these proposals.

These spaces matter. They keep us healthy, connected and proud of our communities.

Rich, powerful and ethically questionable companies have far too much influence on our society.

We need stronger regulation of social media, especially for children and young people.

Tomorrow is a huge day for this Labour government.

Whose side are we on?

Ordinary people that have had their questions unanswered or the establishment that has allowed cover ups that deny justice?

We must pass the Hillsborough Law in full, as promised.

People from all over the country are paying too much for their energy.

This is a class issue, not an independence issue.

We need state owned energy to lower bills, improve infrastructure and make us a more equal and fair country.

That’s why I voted against making animal testing labs to be classed as national infrastructure, and making it illegal to protest outside of them.

Farage and Reform would end our NHS.

Millions of people could not afford to be ill under a Reform government.

The US stopping Cuba receiving fuel for schools, hospitals, industry and homes is nothing new.

This American economic terrorism has been going on for decades.
