I still don't think I've had the opportunity to process either of my parents' deaths. And I don't know when I'll have that opportunity. But this Christmas in particular felt lonely and hurt a lot more than I thought it would.

Today I just feel... alone. And like I'm intruding on the rest of my family's Christmas. And its really really hard to try to maintain a smile for the sake of my family. I ended up spending most of the day alone, either crying or sleeping.

This Christmas hasn't been great. I've been doing okay since my mom passed, or maybe I've just been burying all of it. But this Christmas is my first Christmas ever without at least one of my parents. Last Christmas was hard but I still had my mom.

I know I mentioned this before, but I honestly got so lucky with this job. I feel like I fit in here, I really do think things are turning around for me now. I can see a future in this place.

I've mentioned this on twitter, but as some of you know, my mom passed away unexpectedly in May and life has been chaotic. But, I am starting a new job on 10/22. Unfortunately it'll still be a couple weeks before I get paid. This is to help me until then.

But I can’t go that long without my phone. We are so close to being able to catch up with everything and stay afloat and it just couldn’t hold out until Monday. I am so beyond frustrated and tired. I don’t know what else to do.

One of the other VA checks that we were waiting on should have been mailed out already. Nothing. The check for October should have been mailed out already. Nothing. We don’t have $270. My sister doesn’t have $270. We won’t until Monday.

I need to make that last until Monday when the hold is off the VA deposit. BUT in my struggles to stay afloat I’ve been consistently behind on my phone bill and once again my phone is turned off. And I need $270 to get it turned back on.

I hate that this is my first post here. But hopefully it'll be my last. We got the back pay check for my mom’s VA benefits. But its got a 5 business day hold on it so we can’t access any of it. My mom got the pension deposit from the state today, but that’s only $300.
