This is my M1 rifle. I’ve named her Uncle Sam (for obvious reasons), or Sammy for short. For those not in the know, this is the rifle used by the Americans in “Saving Private Ryan” and “Band of Brothers.” There were somewhere between 5 and 6 million manufactured by the US alone until about 1957.

Yo I have an M1 as well, her name’s Betty. Serial number in the low millions, Springfield Armory frankengun with production stamps 1941 (trigger assembly) 43 (barrel, oprod and gas chamber) and 44 (receiver and bolt)
