I agree but feel that the performative nature of 'consultation' has been well-known for a very long time. So why do we still feel obliged to participate? Why do we have faith that the next consultation might be different? Perhaps the risks of non-participation outweigh the efforts of participation?

I doubt the novelty of seeing my work published will wear off anytime soon. Due to my dyslexia, I couldn’t read a whole book untill I was about 13 so continually surprised that writing is such a big part of my job 😅
