People turn to food banks when they don't have enough money to survive.

Lots of people are in-between jobs, have health conditions or are looking after loved ones.

And some people are in work that doesn't pay enough to get by.

Food banks provide so much more than just food. 💚

They also provide advice on money matters, offer a listening ear, and make a decent cup of tea.

This extra support is a lifeline and reduces the chances of someone needing to turn to a food bank again.

Poverty is a political choice.

Disabled people are already THREE times more likely to need to use food banks.

- 2.2 million protected from real terms cut in Universal Credit health element.
- 370k protected from PIP cuts.
BUT...

Our social security system should as a minimum ensure everyone can afford the essentials.
