Ambassador Program | Gatling Become a Gatling Ambassador and connect with passionate advocates to influence product development, share your expertise, and shape the future of performance testing.

I was awarded the Gatling Master title: hubs.ly/Q03hbxR10. I have been using Gatling for many years and wrote/presented about it. It's an awesome tool if you want to do performance testing on, for example, REST based messages, Kafka messages, or Websockets.

Did you already walk across the Skywalk bridge in Willingen? If not try, it's a cool and bit scary experience.

It's awesome that the recording is now published. I had a great tim in Australia at the YOW! Conferences. Hope to go back someday πŸ˜€.

I bought a Samsung Galaxy A55 last year for way less. Works like a charm.

No problem, I maintained them for quite some years πŸ˜ƒ.

ajshastri - Overview ajshastri has 23 repositories available. Follow their code on GitHub.

I'm not sure, maybe GitHub is the best place for contact: github.com/ajshastri. Before there was also a link on the Chocolatey package site to contact a maintainer, but I couldn't find it on my phone.

I don't think that's possible right now. But I no longer maintain them, so better to ask the current maintainer πŸ™‚. If not, you could create a short wrapper script that installs Temurin with Chocolatey and then sets the env variable.

If everyone would follow the rules, then presentations and life would be quite boring πŸ˜„.

Only 140 slides, what did you do during the time that was left? πŸ˜…πŸ˜‰

21.02.2025 19:51 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yes indeed, personally I rather have some more simple slides with pictures and/or short text then a few slides with a lot of text. But I also enjoy people telling a good and long story with just one slide, or none at all πŸ˜€.

21.02.2025 19:51 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

There aren't many people crazy enough to jump on stage 😁.

I definitely appreciate feedback as well. But they brought it as if I had never presented before. They even kept going after I told them that I spent 43 days travelling/speaking at conferences last year. Also, the feedback wasn't based on my presentation but just generic stuff.

I was told I should have max 1 slide per 2 minutes. In hindsight, that probably is a good reference for some colleagues who put so much text on a slide that it takes 2 minutes to read it πŸ˜‡.

21.02.2025 18:28 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

🀣 yeah, that's a good one, I met quite a few of them πŸ˜‰.

21.02.2025 18:25 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Ah, yes, that might be the reason 🀣

It's so funny if people tell you how to give a presentation. For example, how many slides to use etc. Of course, after giving many presentations, you can still improve stuff, but still, getting these kinds of advice from people who probably hardly presented in public themselves feels awkward.

I felt old today when I realised that I had been working with Docker for about 11 years πŸ˜‡. At least my experience was useful when helping a colleague with a Docker issue.

Maybe we can someday make it work to have a real presentation instead of a remote one πŸ˜‰.

Thanks for sharing the article. It's interesting to see the foundations growth. I hope it helps the projects to continue their work and get the required funding.
