This is like how people who watch Succession think everyone watches Succession but actually the vast majority of people just watch NCIS on CBS

Naked Gun at the drive-in was a throwback and such a blast, my favorite scene is near the end when Frank and the villain have a showdown that results in a bit so silly and hilarious I couldn’t think straight for 30 seconds

Appreciative of Jon Stewart and The Daily Show for amplifying a Jewish perspective on Gaza that needs to be part of the conversation youtu.be/X5kXCdzt_us?...

The Sun-Times is losing some amazing journalists. They wouldn't want us to stop. The bad news: 35 staffers β€” including 23 in the newsroom β€” took a Chicago Public Media buyout and most are leaving today. But their sacrifice will help ensure the newspaper's future.

On a sad Friday morning, here is a lovely farewell to the many Sun-Times staffers leaving today.

There is no getting around it β€” the talent vacuum created by these losses will require a lot of us to step up like never before. We hope to deliver for you all.

Chicago Sun-Times to lose 20% of staff after buyout offer Columnists, editorial writers and many more head for the exits as the paper's nonprofit owner, Chicago Public Media, deals with fiscal hardship.

Thirty employees of the Chicago Sun-Times β€” around one in five on its payroll β€” have agreed to resign after a buyout offer.

The departures primarily affect writers and editors, many of whom have extensive experience at the newspaper.

Some deeply sad days at the Sun-Times seeing so many of my talented colleagues taking buyouts to leave the organization. These are devastating losses of talent and institutional know-how, and Chicago will be worse off without them doing their work.

I love that these moves set up the Bears to have no excuse in Caleb's development.

They got the best offensive-minded coach available. They aggressively turned over the entire IOL after a disastrous season. The weapons in place are still reasonably appealing.

Now it's up to Caleb to be great.

Kind of astonishing that alderpersons and Johnson feel like they have the mandate from the public to pass something like this when public approval is so low. Do they just expect no accountability down the road?

Politicians who claim to be progressive while attacking independent local journalists, falsely painting them as β€œcorporate media,” is a total embarrassment. There is no progressive movement that doesn’t involve a fair reporting of the news.
