The #2025SummerWritingInsanity continues. My July output has been through the roof. 11 brand new short stories in various states of completion. Weekend goal is to wrap up the 5 for Globe Soup and Writer's Playground, and draft/submit for Writer's Games and a 24hr contest I vaguely remember entering

So relatable. Our bunny had escaped into the living room, which contained levels cheap phone charging cords. But what does Syrina chew up? The $70 laptop computer cord. Sigh. Rabbits.

My #2025SummerWritingInsanity continues. In the next five days, I will attempt to... finish drafting three unfinished stories, draft two new ones for Writer's Games and Jerboa Lit and edit at least five more so I can get them out for submission by June 30/July 1 deadlines.
Ambitious? Yep.
Doable? 🤷🏾‍♂️

Going to be a very hot weekend here in Wisconsin with temps over 90. Staying inside with the a/c, drafting stories for Writer's Games, Elegant Literature, and Globe Soup ✍️

Well. Found out in one of the discord servers that there is no way minimum for WG. So, plan was to pivot to a flash story. Keep in mind this is with 4 hours to go.
Typed like a madman and ended up 3000+ words and some semblance of a story. It's not great-a very rough draft

First weekend of craziness completed with a DNF for Writer's Games due to a massive headache. 🤕
Will revisit the story at some point.

However, I managed to edit a couple of stories and get them submitted along with a Novel excerpt that went out to Uncharted.

So yesterday, Globe Soup announced a nostalgic decades contest. Deadline July 21. Did I buy a ticket? No.

Did I mention I'm also editing two stories to meet a Sunday sub deadline?
