20.02.2026 18:38 β π 14 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I could see that maybe when he returns. Maybe leveling up from DH, to 2B, before 3B.. but unsure of the actual implications
20.02.2026 17:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Legit makes my heart happy. Long way to go of course, but am happy for him.
And hopefully happy for us to see him mashing bombs!
Had heard Westburg would probably need TJS and miss the season, so this is encouraging news if that was what you were expecting to see.
The recovery isnt as long as pitchers, so trying this wont put 2027 in jeopardy
Still sucks though of course. He's one of our bests
Gives Mayo a good opportunity
Yep!
12.02.2026 16:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Summing up my past posts
Im really pleased with getting Bassitt because it makes it way less likely the bottom falls out.
Dont have that guy to start game 3 of a playoff series that I trust yet. But it filled a need nonetheless.
Dean Kremer is over hated.
Most teams in the league would be thrilled to have him as their 5.
Our problem had been having him as our 3 haha
Idk why anyone is upset about signing Bassitt
170+ IP each of the past 4 yrs
165 Ks each of the past 4
Highest FIP of the past 6 is 4.28
Maybe if youre annoyed we didnt get the top of rotation guy sure. But if the question is: did this make us better? It's a resounding "yes"
Yea but that's just because it's easier to shorten a work load than the other way around.
Im pretty confident he'll be in the pen. Especially now
Bassitt of course isnt what we wanted this offseason -- but genuinely makes our rotation safer and deeper.
A nice addition to make.
Rotation is what..
1. Bradish
2. Rogers
3. Baz
4. Bassitt
5. Eflin/Kremer
Not terrible having your 6th man be Kremer or Eflin!
6 man rotation?
It's a depth thing
Such as, you need Rogers to pitch as a 1 or 2, instead of a 3 or 4 (all 4 scenarios there possible imo). You need Baz to show more of his potential. And you need Eflin to be healthy & back to form
Adding another stud would really have reduced the overall risk
I think the rotation is better right now than we all say
But worse than it needs to be if that makes sense.
All that said .. no one left to spend the kind of dollars they had out there (confirmed) for Suarez or (allegedly) for Valdez in free agency.
So put something towards an extension or 2.
Healthy Bradish and Rogers help significantly imo ... but a really big missed opportunity
05.02.2026 03:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 06/7/8: Povich/Young/Wells (keep Wells in the pen)
Like... that top 5 has a chance to really shove. And has a chance to find themselves wishing they had 2 more real dudes.
Would look a lot better inserting a big name right behind Bradish. None left as free agents now.
The rotation may be fine but:
1. Bradish - innings limit
2. Rogers - could be a 2nd ace, likely to regress some though - could be a 3 or 4
3. Baz - high ceiling, primed to put it all together, hasn't yet
4. Kremer - is Dean Kremer
5. Eflin - injury concerns & collapsed in 2025
Just a downer to make such a splash with Pete
Get a closer
Get Kittredge
2 big trades
And then whiff on every big arm & leave big rotation & depth questions
What otherwise has been a massive offseason gets an incomplete score without a surprise big trade
Gallen is fine but not a big deal addition
The shoulder impingement Gunnar Henderson played through last year impacted his swing plane, he said. That probably impacted his power numbers. But Henderson said heβs healthy now

1. Bradish
2. Suarez/Valdez/Peralta
3. Rogers
4. Baz
5. Kremer/Eflin
Would love it.
Need that last piece though.
Sure! Make the left/right matchups trickier for other teams with something like
1. Beavers
2. Ward
3. Henderson
4. Alonso
5. Rutschman
6. Holliday
7. Westburg
8. Cowser
9. Basallo
New coaching staff while adding some real vets and mashers should help the streakyness.
This offense is legit.
I mean ... π₯
1. Gunnar
2. Adley (I dont care, he's going off this year)
3. Alonso
4. Ward
5. Westburg
6. Beavers
7. Holliday
8. Cowser
9. Basallo
Not to mention TON has 30+ HR pop if healthy; Mayo is still here and finished really strong, Jeremiah Jackson looked good last yr
Screw it, 13 man rotation, no pen.
1. Bradish
2. Valdez
3. Peralta
4. Rogers
5. Imai
6. Gore
7. Baz
8. Cabrera
9. Kremer
10. Eflin
11. Wells
12. Povich
13. Young

22.12.2025 17:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pete Alonso has had an OPS+ of 122 or higher every year of his 7 season career so far.
He's one of 5 players to do that each of the past 7 seasons.

Im assuming 2 more SPs will get added replacing Selby with Wells which will help some
