Quite shocked by this Common Buzzard yesterday at Falsterbo - dark chocolate bib & pale underparts almost like a Swainson’s Hawk. Anybody else seen this plumage variant?

Dungeness: A juvenile Hen Harrier that flew through The Desert then spiralled up and out to sea this morning. Many thanks to Jacob for the heads up.

I thought I was having a good day with an image of one of the juveniles from the 1st recorded breeding of Zitting cisticola in the UK. On review I found four juveniles and the adult female🤯

An outing out of the area yesterday to Seven Sisters Country Park with Alan Martin and @birdingbodds.bsky.social found a small colony of the rare Scarce Blue-tailed Damselfly, including this mating pair.
