Prosecutor Aoi Daichi ⚖️ ☄️

One bad episode I had resulted in me cutting off most of my hair on impulse, and it looked bad to a point where I refused to come out for a week until a professional touched it up for me.

I've also been...extremely tired; the chronic pain and cold weather makes me want to do nothing but sleep.

Hi everbody; I apologize for my absense, but I'll summarize some stuff that caused it:

- I went to Germany with Mx. Von Karma for work (some relaxation too, but mostly work)

- I wasn't doing well mentally, so I took time off work.

- I moved!! I now live in a small house.

- I got a kitten.

"I mean; I dont know if I'll ever truly fit in. I guess I sometimes get uhh-whats the word- Imposter syndrome? And being in an empty building doesn't help either honestly. I try to bury myself in more work to seem capable, but I fear that won't even be enough to...fake it... anymore."

"And for some reason, I decided to pivot into law; I'm not sure why honestly. But well I'm here now, literally grounded but successful I guess."

[ Daichi looks down and fiddles with the sleeves of his jacket. ]

"I sometimes don't know though." +

"I went to school and got a bachelor's degree in Astronomy, and then eventually a master's degree in computer science.I won't go into specifics, but all of that got ruined when someone decided what little I had in my wallet was worth my life." +

"You know, be up there and explore the vast endlessness of space with nothing to weigh you down, literally and figuratively."

[ A pause as Daichi seemingly looks like he's trying to chose his next words carefully. ] +

[ He remains silent for a while after that, taking in the sight of the stars as he slowly slumps into his seat and puts another edible in his mouth. ]

"...I'll be honest; being a Prosecutor was the last thing I wanted to be in my life. I actually wanted to be an astronaut." +

[ Daichi listens as they watch the ash from the cigarette fall until they land on the ground near Simon's feet. ]

"Yeah, I imagine that kind of thing would be hard to talk about...Don't worry, I'm not here to push you." +

[ Daichi awkwardly sways from side to side, wishing he could say some better words. ]

"...Sorry; I was never really good with comforting with my words. I usually comfort with actions more."

"...I don't know everything about what happened."

[ Daichi half lied, watching wisps of smoke from Simon's cigarette. ]

"But if it means anything, I'm glad you're out here with all of us. And umm...Im glad you're out here with me." +

[ He vaugely remembered hearing about Simon getting arrested, but never thought he actually did it. ]

[ And nothing ever came from it until 7 years later, when Clay himself 'died' and came back as the person that was currently sitting with Simon under a blanket of stars. ] +

[ His memories were still too fuzzy to remember everything, but they remembered not actually being there when it happened, but when he came back the next day, the atmosphere of the space center was gloomy and eerie, with tensions sharper than Simon's katana. ] +

"I imagine that happens when you're isolated in a place for so long...I mean-I've never been to prison, but that can fuck up your psyche."

[ He goes quiet for a bit, thinking about his memories as Clay & how the space center was in disray the day Metis was murdered. ] +

"...Simon...okay."

[ Daichi quietly notes before looking over at Simon, looking slightly tired despite the fact the edible hadn't kicked in yet. But then again, Daichi was always tired, for more reasons than one. ] +

"The sky is never this clear, so I'm really seizing this opportunity...especially with the building being so empty."

[ He sighs and takes out a small,open plastic bag with edibles in them, popping one into his mouth before sighing again. ]

"...Whats on your mind right now Prosecutor Blackquill?"

"Aren't they?"

[ Daichi's smile slightly fades as he looks down in his bag of chips, muttering something among the lines of 'I wish I was up there' to themselves before looking back at Simon. ]

"I sometimes come out here whenever I work late at night and my mind is troubled like it is now." +

[ Daichi looks over in Simon's direction, some chips he bought from a vending machine hanging from the bottom of his mask as he finishes eating them & smiles with their eyes. ]

"Come on over here; there's plenty of room here. Plus, the stars can be seen so clearly tonight, its a sight to behold."

Oh good! I actually have some edibles too honestly heh; those I don't mind sharing.

Do you want me to come find you so we can walk together, or do you want to meet me outside?

...Would you snitch on me if I told you I had some CBD gummies? I keep them on me in case my anxiety really acts up, but even then I never take them while in the building.

Me neither honestly. I need to go outside and take a break; you're more than welcome to join me if you'd like. I don't want you to be alone...

You said it....it feels like a ghost town here.

Mx. Von Karma is going to Germany for a case and they insisted I go with them for additional experience, so I guess I'm going to Germany!

This is also great timing since my cast is coming off in a couple of days :3

Love it when I wake up and can't go back to sleep because its cold and the colder weather change is when my joints hurt alot more :(

"At least Pess cant climb as far as I know; I cant tell you how many times my cat climbs to high places and then decides to leap on my face when I'm not paying attention to her..."

[ Daichi rubs the back of his neck and gives a soft sigh. ]

"Its a good thing she has a cute face..."

These past few days have been rough; I've been seeing *him* everytime I look in the mirror more than usual lately...

I don't even know who I am anymore, but honestly I never knew in the first place.

[ Daichi slightly smiles, giving Pess a few friendly pets. ]

"But seriously; Im not hurt, was just taken aback..."

"Maybe she was an experiencing an adrenaline rush! She was so excited that she just had to tackle someone. I don't know; its usually cats that are friendly to me even if they're not great with people. This is a first time a dog has acted similarly." +

Taka came to visit me again today; and with a mouse none the less!

...How did they know I forgot to eat today?
