I feel the same way. Also everytime I got hired (animation job or not)it was never through the process of applying, interviewing etc.. but always through my connections or because we met irl already.. I have no faith in applying to jobs since they either ghost you or waste your time.

Same and it’s sooo useless. You always have to be in that really small window when they are looking for someone to hire

I forgot to say it here too, but I got my first gig as a vis dev artist for an indie animation studio!! It’s only for 1 month (more if i do good, manifesting 🤞) but I’m so grateful that I get to finally work on a position that I’ve been looking for 3 years. I’m sooo happy 😭!! Can’t wait to start
