🌎 #WITWW reveal: this statue of American film director John Ford stands in the historically Irish neighborhood of his Portland, Maine, hometown. The director’s chair is sculpted atop rock formations representing the Utah and Arizona landscapes where Ford shot many of his westerns.

🌎 This #WITWW saw Yonder on the college campus of William & Mary, founded in 1693 in Williamsburg, VA. Yonder visited the griffin statue outside Zable Stadium and also mugged for the camera here at scenic Crim Dell. “Legend” has it that if lovers kiss as they cross the footbridge, they’ll marry.

🎨🐕 Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girls Scouts of the USA, was an animal lover. During her lifetime, she had > 70 pet birds, cats, horses, and dogs, including this week’s #ArtfulPup: her Airedale Robin! This 2014 statue of the pair by Nina de Burgh is at Low's birthplace in Savannah, GA.

Buster was a Central of Georgia Railway foreman’s pet, trained to round up any spilled lumps of coal. Buster’s dedication to fuel economy earned him local publicity and lots of fans
