Thank you!! I'm so happy and relieved too 🥹 hospital staff said she was a "perfect girl", and she really was~ such a brave little vanilla bean.

Real talk: I'm glad and relieved that she is still with me. I know i bought her more time, and sometimes the $ isn't easy to part with. But I needed to give her a fighting chance. I'm broke af now, but I knew she wasn't ready to go yet either. This way, we both have more time. And time is priceless.

Happy to report that my sweet girl has recovered! After two nights at the hospital (and two bills that make me wish I was brave enough to do OF), she came home with some meds and a scheduled cardiogram.

Took my Lola to the ER for some rapid labored breathing. Chest x-rays showed fluid in her lungs and a moderately enlarged heart. Vet determined it to be congestive heart failure. Thankfully, her blood panel came back clean and cleared to begin treatment.

Pls send her love and positive energy. 🥺

Day 5: "See You Later"

Came back to my house so Lola could say goodbye to him. They bonded really well, and I'm grateful for that.

We have a second date/visit in November. I'll be making the trip to him this time.

Day 4: Mall.

Just a walk around the BEEG mall ... and getting lost trying to find my car 😅

Also, more sushi. And the rest of the evening in, talking about real-life and sensitive topics.

Day 3: First Date 🏁

I took us to breakfast, and he paid ✨️ then we went go-karting. There is also a cool arcade here, and we played a few intense games of air hockey (which i suck at apparently 😅). BUT! At least I won at skeeball!

It was ... emotional. Cathartic. We risked sun damage for it, that's how long it was.

Three years of distance after a miscommunicated fallout may not seem like a long time for others. But for the star-crossed ... it's a lifetime.
