I agree, the director directly addressing the audience provides a new level of immersion and I think it was a very nice touch towards engaging the audience as well

19.05.2025 03:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I felt the same way you did and I also relate to your observation of gentrification as an aspect of the movie. I grew up in Harlem and my part has been a breeding ground for gentrification and natives getting pushed out
19.05.2025 03:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My watch of "Do the Right Thing" by Spike Lee evoked a rollercoaster of emotions in me. At times, I felt excitement, tension, or frustration. The movie felt bright and full of energy, being set on a hot summer day, while the chaotic, tense moments left me feeling overwhelmed. #Media180LabSpring130
19.05.2025 03:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think this was a great ad to bring up. The repetition technique was definitely effective, for better or for worse, and having to hear it over and over again while your favorite sports team was getting slaughtered wasn't very fun to say the least. It's still really funny to think about though
05.05.2025 03:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think this was a great commercial to bring up. I remember seeing this earlier in the year during NBA games, and I thought it was a beautiful celebration of the Jordan brand and the legacy it left. The rebelliousness is probably what made it stand out to the masses and become what it is today
05.05.2025 03:42 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is an AT&T-NBA ad starring former teammates Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, Josh Hart, and Donte DiVincenzo. In 2024 DiVincenzo was traded to Minnesota, breaking the gang up - the commercial references corny movie/sitcom tropes to make the viewer crack a smile #Media180LabSpring130
05.05.2025 03:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I completely see where you're coming from, however I'd argue the current state of AI is much worse. It's utterly blasphemous - we're seeing lazy album covers and even tracks where artists' voices are being used without their consent! I wish we could go back to simpler times
09.03.2025 22:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The internet, amidst skepticism from many, was a marvel of its time - it fostered creativity and imagination. And yet here we are, pushing the complete antithesis in Artificial Stupidity. All it does is rip off preexisting material and turn brains into mush #NuhUh #KeepItAway #Media180LabSpring130
