Flesh by #davidszalay This is a book you can read in a few days, but will make you think for weeks. It's about a lot of stuff, which for me includes fate, agency, nihilism, moral. People say they unexpectedly empathise with the main character - yes I did too. I recommend this book.

Concert last night was #kaputkrauts and #cityspeak. City Speak on record were OK, but live, wow, absolutely, powerfully brilliant. And Kaput Krauts were good live, but on record: wow.

Just what we needed to see, cheers Steve, getting the feelings of the decent people of the country spot on yet again. A Frenchman, an immigrant, an anti-racist, a Man Utd superstar and all-round fantastic human being, giving that arsehole exactly what he deserves. Perfection.

This one was my favourite together with Cinder Park Refugees. But the whole book was great. I tried to read it one story per day so I could enjoy it over the whole week.

The band Tortoise on stage at Zoom club in Frankfurt. Under purple lights we see the backs of heads of some 400 or so people and five band members on stage. The photo is quite poor and blurred.

It is a book I could read again.

Great read, I could not put it down. I had read that it is a story about love, but I got more of a horror story and a religious angle. There is also the theme of a child's interpretation of (adult) life.
