And there it is.
At least this one was crap in that it was just really boring. And improvement over "this is so bad that I never want to replay this game"
At least in terms of the normal gameplay, I definitely prefer Sly 1's linear levels to Sly 2's open world with uninteresting objectives and short little mini levels.
But at least so far, Sly 2 hasn't made me do an utterly crap driving or rhythm mini-game... So far.
Amazing work!

Fresh new hardware for aging old computers on LGR!

The ZuluIDE and PicoIDE optical drive emulators replace your old CD/DVD drive with a MicroSD card solution for loading ISOs, including support for Redbook CD digital audio! Among other features like virtual hard disks and more
As usual, this isn't fair at all. Why should new people be incapable of looking at and learning from history? Especially history as recent as just 15-20 years ago.

Yes, I know why they're doing it. They see dollar signs, so they're all Tobias in that Arrested Development meme.

Really cool game, if you can get past the weirdly strict Dark Soulish combat
(I rage quit for a few days before coming back, haha)
I was hoping somebody would add that

1) I was today years old when I learned about "Minecraft parkour"
2) There's a sponsor out there paying YouTubers to tell their audience to learn to code

(specifically, they tried to keep Donald Trump off the ballot in the first place, got sued, all the way up to SCOTUS)

Yeah Colorado tried that. Unfortunately SCOTUS came up with some bullshit about how the 14th Amendment isn't self executing and that Congress has to pass a law to make it work.
And then Congress, as usual, did nothing.
I didn't play it, I'm not gonna comment on whether it was good or not

This is the "look at how successful WoW is, quick let's make our own MMO! ... Oh, everyone's still playing WoW and our game is unsustainable, we have to shut it down" bullshit all over again.
This industry truly never learns anything.
The #Zelda franchise is celebrating its 40 anniversary.
But not only that. The beloved Oracle of Ages & Seasons is also celebrating its 25th.
On that note, @alexaugerdev.bsky.social is currently working on a really cool fangame, inspired by the Oracle series!

absolutely this, and there are many other EV "criticisms" that are based on ignorance of ICE vehicles & infrastructure too
"How are you gonna charge your EV if the power goes out?"
well, most fuel pumps are electrically operated too 🙃⛽
I had an outdoor outlet, which was shared with the internal bathroom GFCI outlets. So we tripped the breaker a couple times. I had a dedicated 240V 30 amp circuit put in to avoid that, otherwise I'd probably have kept using the level 1 charger that was included.
03.03.2026 17:06 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I did it for 2 months and it was fine. Some nights, when I had driven more miles than usual the day before, I wasn't back to 80% the next morning. But that's still fine, because I didn't need all 80%. A few days of just regular commuting and I was caught back up.
03.03.2026 16:50 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Either that, or they've looked at 0 to 100% charge times and decided that level 1 charging isn't viable, ignoring that they're not charging from 0 to 100% every day but rather something like 65-70 to 80%. Level 1 charging is fine for that.
03.03.2026 16:47 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yeah I have a lot of negative thoughts about ethanol and the corn subsidies. But I think the comparison to how much energy we can harvest once a year from a cornfield VS how much energy we can harvest every day from a solar farm that Alec made in his recent video already said more than enough.

Slate is working on one, although I care for Jeff Bezos's backing about as much as I care for Elon Musk's.
Also, people take old cars and convert them to EV without any of the connected gubbins.
It's much rarer, but not "no chance"
The idea isn't for everything to be via bike. If you have a longer commute, maybe you're taking a train, or a bus, or a tram, whatever. And then maybe walking or cycling the last less than a mile to your workplace.
Or you could still drive. People in walkable cities still own cars if needed.
I'm just plugged in to reality enough to understand and observe that my current commute between my home and my office would be completely miserable and dangerous on a bike until a lot of infrastructure changes happen.
And in the US, that is the norm.
We need better cars while we make changes.
People love their "traffic jam of ICE cars, traffic jam of EVs" meme
But we can swap to EVs today and see a lot of benefits. Changing the infrastructure to be less car dependent will take a very long time.
EVs shouldn't be the end goal, but they are a great stepping stone.
Just telling people to ride bikes instead of driving. Some people are truly like that, and want you to ride a bike in the current mess. Sorry if that's not what you meant.

Most of the energy an engine generates is waste heat that doesn't help move the car, so the transmission losses would need to be huge for a small car engine to more efficient.
I don't have a source handy, but I'm certain the science and math has already been done and car engines lose.
Yup.
