Morning #RunningPunks. Beautifully frosty today. Spotted a fairly small but hardy and determined wading bird working the icy bank (a quick search suggests it might have been a Dunlin). Still just letting the random shuffle of the ParkRun playlist pick me some propulsion tunes 🤘

Thank you. It was actually the acoustic versions I was listening to (plus a bit of Love, Ire & Song as Undefeated was a bit too short) but it’s been ages since I have listened to him on a run. Forgot how great and uplifting he can be.

Afternoon #RunningPunks. Essex XC Series No. 2 - Hainault. Lovely 2-lap course, although the uphill on lap 2 broke me and needed some strategic slowdown. Still managed to finish well enough though. Who invented hills? Honestly, what use are they…? 🤘

Not too lax at all. My daughter started travelling into and around London from age 15 and now lives there independently at age 20. It’s not without its scary moments for us as parents, but nor is London the utterly lawless hellhole that some media claim.

Loved it. Always great to get out for a run when staying somewhere new, and Birmingham did not disappoint
