A view from above the city of Goslar, photographed from the North Tower of the Market Church. After climbing the numerous steps up the tower, one is rewarded with a marvellous view of the old town with its half-timbered houses. Many of the roofs are covered with slate. The telephoto lens compresses the perspective, making the houses appear very close together in the photograph. Autumn-coloured trees appear here and there between the houses.

I haven‘t seen Kermit for a long time. I‘m glad to see he has found a house, a porch and a chair. And blue shorts!

Uhh, ich muss zugeben, das Foto schon vor einigen Jahren gemacht zu haben und kann das nur aus der Erinnerung sagen. Von einem Ende zum anderen würde ich schätzen: mindestens 3 Meter. Das Weitwinkel verzerrt die Dimensionen, aber das sollte es ja auch.

Ja, das habe ich beim Fotografieren auch gedacht: bizarr und schön. Ich bin froh, dass das Objektiv weitwinkelig genug war, um die ausladenden "Knochen" einzufangen.

Gut geraten! Wir sind bis zum Darßer Ort durch den Wald gewandert. Dort, an dieser an jenem Tag sehr windigen Stelle, ist das Foto entstanden.

Die weit ausladende Baumwurzel eines umgestürzten Baumes. Das Foto zeigt den Baum „von unten“, sein Wurzelwerk, das ihn sein Leben lang im Boden verankert hat, Halt gegeben hat, ihn ernährt hat. Nun liegt der Baum auf dem Waldboden und die Verzweigungen seiner ehemals starken Wurzel ragen wie verzweifelte Knochen nach allen Seiten und finden keinen Halt mehr.
