No movement no penetration no counter attack threat. That was staples of the system. For whatever reason it’s not working anymore. To me players just don’t look like they believe in it.

That is the one thing I always said about Pulis. He came in saw the players we had & developed a system to get the best out of them. Now Pulis wasn’t a top top manager but he knew how to get best out of what he had.

OG saying he can’t get the new players to play well enough in his preferred system. Call me naive but why doesn’t he then tweak system/tactics to suit the players at his disposal. A top top manager adjust things to get best out of his players.

Whoever takes charge we desperately need some change of style. The robotic style of OG has run its course. The players need a bit more freedom. We have the tools I think they need to be free to express more.

Sadly it is. It started with prime Pep at prime City. Whenever they lost the ball they committed a foul immediately. Stops game stops counter attacks & being exposed. It gets everyone back in their shape.

Ref’s talk to players too much. Just make the decision & get on with the game. The ball can’t be in play for more than 45 minutes yesterday. Lack of flow also affects the crowd. If game is stop start with no flow crowd can’t get into it atmosphere drops.

What was really highlighted yesterday was the lack of flow in games. It’s more stop start than ever. Throw ins free kicks corners take ages. Goal celebrations go on for minutes. VAR takes forever. Players go down clutching head knowing game will stop. Ref’s incapable of getting the game going……..

Can’t wait for the game tomorrow. Lots of negativity around the club in last few weeks most of it rightly so. I will never take for granted being able to go to Selhurst. Many people who would love to go can’t for all many of reasons. Enjoy the privilege of being there.

Right time to sell. He was hopeless for a long time then been absolutely brilliant since Glasner took over. I get his desire to go as last chance to get a champions league club. Shame we stood by him when he was rubbish as soon as he got good he desperate to go. We have had the best of him I think.

Same as Mateta isn’t it. Nobody really knows which is the real JSL or Mateta. JSL does look like a slightly more composed finisher.
