What a time to be a Palace fan. Long unbeaten run, 2 trophies, the best manager we’ve ever had, an incredibly likeable team, 4th in league & in my opinion we haven’t really played well going forward yet this season. Enjoy these times they won’t last forever. Bask in the glory while we have it.

Exactly right. Not everything is perfect & never will be. Football is fundamentally about entertainment & enjoyment & going to Palace brings us that. There’s many people who can’t go to games for all manor of reasons would love to be there. We should all enjoy that we can be there.

Glasner will go whether SP is here or not. Like players his ceiling is high it’s higher than we can get to. He’s a top manager who will manage a top club. We should enjoy him while he’s here.

It’s great to have healthy debate about the trials & tribulations of Palace. We all want the same thing which is success for the club. L’pool game was interesting tactically last night. Having 2 marauding full backs leaves you very exposed to counter attack especially with only 2 centre halves. Even with us playing 3 centre halves it would be the same which could explain why OG doesn’t want a like for like Munoz on our left side.

The statement by the Club/Parish yesterday was spot on. It would have been easy to ping out a statement as soon as verdict was given but no they took their time worded it brilliantly to show how angry we are. Club/Parish don’t get everything right but they were spot on with words & timing on that.

I’m not a Parish parrot far from it. I just don’t think every player we go for automatically jumps at signing for us if we bid. Who’s to say Guessand agent didn’t say Palace have bid but bide your time because Villa are interested. Any human will wait for all options before making a choice.

We have covered 2 areas we need to cover but we do still need I think 3-4 more. Not sure many clubs at our level have done much business. Bournemouth have lost loads. Brentford have lost players. Brighton have sold & bought but not improved. West Ham not much. We do need to do more for sure.

I doubt it’s a case of club wants me I will sign. If they know that 2 or 3 clubs are interested they will wait until they all play their hand so sometimes I wonder how easy it is for clubs our size to buy early. That’s just my uneducated thoughts 😁

I’m with you on players coming in early & understand OG frustration as correct he wants them for a month to get them Glasner ready. I’m not privy to transfers & how they work. I guess that it’s not as easy as putting in offer & player signs. Players will wait to see all offers available….

Last summer Lacroix & Kamada were OG singing. This summer so far we haven’t bought in players manager wants but it can still change. We would like our players in by pre season but market dictates things different. I get OG frustration we haven’t got them in yet as he wants them in to coach them.

I get what you’re saying but realistically where can we kick on a little? Without spending hundreds of millions (which PSR now stops clubs doing) we will never break into top 6/7. We have won a major trophy. Look at Brighton. Lorded by all the media. Sell & spend hundreds of millions on players……

and they can then showcase talent and maybe move to elite clubs. We have a ceiling that’s how it is. It’s same with managers. Now players & managers can conduct themselves during the process with class like Olise Eze Guehi Glasner or conduct themselves like Pulis & Allardyce.

Of course he is as are 90% of our players & that’s something the club is open about when signing players. We aren’t at the top of football food chain & never will be. That’s why we could sign your Olise Eze Mateta Wharton Esse Franca amongst others. It’s sold to them that they will play for us……..

Allardyce only ambition with us was to get a bigger & better job. He used us to get back into football after England fiasco.
