Now I've had this monitor for like a week or so and messed around with HDR more I find it hard to go back to non HDR 😬 it's crazy when you see how bright a lamp or sign can actually be, it's one of things you can't really describe you just have to see it. Getting money's worth at least

I've mostly enjoyed my time with Avowed and the main quest is pretty good but having another open world area to explore just got me feeling like 🫠 a lot of the side stuff feels so repetitive

I finally started Alan Wake 2 and it's the first game where HDR has actually made a big noticeable difference and kind of blown me away, very impressive stuff

These damn puppy dog eyes, I love her

Still not sold on HDR, I played around with it but it's hard to notice a real difference in actual gameplay I find, and not to mention how annoying it can be to capture and work with. Rather just stick to SDR most of the time where it still looks great and I can capture it easier

I'm glad I bit the bullet and took a chance on OLED, it's so hard to understand just how much it changes the experience without directly getting to use one, absolutely game changing

I finally bit the bullet and spent all my money on a new monitor 🥲 My last big purchase setup wise, so now I can at least start trying to save money

The real time PT toggle is a blessing and a curse, I'm always stopping to look at the differences with a real time toggle 🥲 Having a FOV slider with REFramework is a god send as well, I feel so much less claustrophobic in a good way

I somehow ended up with the same hours in RE4 and 9, but with a lot more achievements in 9. I really should go back and do more RE4 runs

I'm glad I played Grace's sections in first person but I also never want to do it again, couldn't imagine playing Leon in first person though, it seems entirely incompatible with that view

Finished Requiem, what an absolute masterpiece! Definitely might be one of the few games I put more time into and 100%, I'm so annoyed cause I missed 1 raccoon by the end of the game and I know exactly which one it was 🫠

I still don't know a whole ton about this game but regardless of how the rest of the game is, technically its very impressive

I think my favourite thing about games like RE, and Japanese games in general in my limited experience with them, is that they're so good at striking a balance between that cinematic western style and the actual gameplay part still gamey and fun but not feeling out of place. It's good stuff
