Des de Moor died on 7th Feb from undiagnosed brain tumour.

Des worked at The Ramblers, wrote for CAMRA, was a singer-songwriter. He gave me 27 years of love.

Was having coffee with a friend in Waterstones in Greenwich.

A man came up and told us to be quieter.

I’m not proud of myself but he got an ear bashing at a much louder volume than we’d be talking at, with me ending “This isn’t a fucking library you know!”

Oddly he left quickly after that.

After visiting the funeral directors today I have a ball park estimate of Des’s funeral costs.

Morning lovely friends - a quick update.

This morning I have an appointment with the funeral directors. This is the sort of job Des would have been so much better at than me. All I can do is think “what would Des do?” and then do it.

And update for those who don’t know. My beloved partner of 27 1/2 years @desdemoor.bsky.social is in critical care in KCH. I found him unconscious on Sunday afternoon and he’s been in an induced coma ever since. I’m with him every day and I want him to come home
