While the ceasefire is a good thing overall, I think we should remember that this does not bring an end to the discrimination against Palestinians, the apartheid-esque citizenships on Israel, and the all but guarantees continuation of ISF targetting of civilians.

#Israel #Palestine

I might've accidentally made a sauce that tastes exactly like garlic bread

Further research will be done on this

To think...
I walked into the second-hand clothes shop, hoping to buy the most boring black skirt I could find
But I got this beautiful skirt with the most wonderful floral pattern on it, and I couldn't be happier

Breast cancer diagnoses rose by over 300% between 1973 and 1992.

Was there a breast cancer epidemic?!

NO.

Mammograms were implemented for screening in 1976.

PREVALENCE is a function of being able to correctly diagnose something.

This is also about autism.

NASA also points out that a single potential biosignature does not constitute the discovery of life - multiple lines of evidence would need to independently corroborate such an interpretation

However, I will caution against sensationalist reporting.
We still know very little about this planet. It's possible that there is some currently undetermined chemical/geological process responsible for generating hydrogen sulfide.

Diagram of chemical reactions in the atmosphere of WASP-39b caused by light from its nearest star. Light from the star splits water into hydrogen and hydroxyl radicals. The hydrogen ions attack hydrogen sulfide and reduce it to sulfur. The resultant sulfur reacts with the oxygen in the hydroxyl radicals to form sulfur dioxide. The hydrogen produced in these reactions eventually leaves the atmosphere of the planet.

The reason the Hydrogen Sulfide is such a big deal is that it's generally pretty unstable. As an example, WASP-39b's atmosphere (also measured thanks to JSWT) breaks down H2S into sulfur dioxide.

TL;DR : Data from the James Webb Space Telescope indicates the presence of Hydrogen Sulfide in the atmosphere of an exoplanet (K2-18b). This may be an indicator of exobiology.

This is a biplane… with ramjets… you read that correctly. A biplane… with ramjets. And of course it’s a Soviet project.

This is an I-153bis with two DM-4 ramjets affixed under the wings and it is unbelievably stupid.

Ramjets produce no static thrust, they need speed to work….

ITS…A… BIPLANE
