Why was K-pop demon hunters the best movie I've seen this year?

Welp I just finished clone wars.
If I ever see Palpatine itβs on sight.
No force lightning can stop these hands π‘
5 years ago I said that Rogue One was the only new story that positively added to the universe that George created. Andor adds 10 times more to the universe.
The downside is that the stories that have the magic or spiritual elements that gave Star Wars its popularity are so bad in comparison π
Mistakes happen, I posted the wrong screenshot earlier. Call it even.

More fair points. There's a lot out there now. Comics, anime, novels games..etc, but it appears to be spreading thin.
Star Wars Outlaws was a huge release but ultimately underperformed & was outsold by Jedi survivor even though it's an older game.
*shrugs* the franchise is weird...
I didn't say "I'm right" I've repeatedly taken a "we'll see when the movies return" stance.
Also, attending cons =/= watching shows/Movies. Otherwise the Marvel shows/Films would be breaking records right now.
So Luminate and Nielson typically are in sync with their findings, however, Nielsen doesn't release their findings nearly as often.
Luminate posted record low views for Skeleton Crew and later Nielson lined up with those findings.
So the numbers were released for Andor Season 2 and... it looked π¨
Another valid point. However, since the explosion and merger of nerd culture with fan culture, all conventions have been rising in attendance.
Take Megacon for example. ComicCon LA as well.
So it's also hard to draw the conclusions based on attendance as well right?
Fair points. After all, Star Wars always has been a franchise built on it's theatrical draw and subsequent toy & collectibles sold in relation to said films.
Which is why I said we'll see when the movies come back to theaters.

Nielsen is generally the most trusted, and early reports suggest Andor will miss its top 10.
Comparing these 2 tables would indicate a massive drop... but I'll wait for the released nielsen ratings as they are usually the most accurate.
I thought you'd make the connection between declining viewership of MLB and Star Wars on your own.
I liked The Skeleton Crew and Andor. imo is better than half of the first 6 movies to me.
But who's watching it?
They both can't crack the top 10. Andor can't compete with Family Guy's...viewershipπ
Similarly... the Star Wars franchise reminds me of baseball.
I'm disappointed with Star Wars a lot in recent years, but I still consider myself a fan.
However, I can't help the feeling that the ship is sinking. When the movies return to theaters, I suspect we'll find out for sure.
Me liking it or not is irrelevant.
I don't like baseball anymore. Baseball still has lots of fans. Its accessibility has gone well beyond North America.
Yet, it's declined in popularity and is far removed from the #1 most popular sport in the NA, which was the case from the 40s to the 70s...
I was letdown by Tales of the Empire but Tales of the Underworld was fantastic!
Win for Star Wars Day
#Maythe4bewithyou
Hope #Maythe4th was good for everyone. I'm watching #Talesoftheunderworld for Star Wars day.
For those of you eating dinner right now... May the forks be with you.
I'm not making assumptions based on ticket sales for a rerelease compared to new movies release pre-covid.
I am asserting that the dwindling population of Star Wars is mostly due to the fact that fans are more attached to the era of episodes 1-6 and the legacy characters from that time.
No, I actually think people who dislike the Kennedy Era need to come to terms with the fact that 1-6 IS disney now.
Also, look at Mando season 2 Finale and Ahsoka Episode 5 for examples of this same effect in the modern era.
There's clearly a longing for those characters.
Did I say they never lost fans?
If I did, please point out where I said such a thing.
This is hate-click farming at the highest level.
It's also somewhat true. It's pretty easy to notice fan reception for Lucas era vs. Kennedy Era Star Wars is just different.
The new stuff has It's dedicated fans, but for the most part, they've lost more fans than they've gained. ππ€·ββοΈ
I think it's imperfected technology.
In 10 years or less, I don't think it'll bother anybody.
20 years, you probably won't be able to tell the difference.
π¨ STAR WARS: VISIONS S3 official trailer shown at Star Wars Celebrations Japan

I think it's a shame that The #SkeletonCrew isn't going to continue.
I say that considering #TheAcolyte was mentioned at the Star Wars Celebration amongst lots of projects, but I don't think they even talked about the show.
All the upcoming projects announced, and #StarWarsVisions has me the most excited... what a strange timeline.

I didn't like #TheAcolyte at all but... something sad about seeing this guy now.
They shouldn't have canceled it on his Birthday...that's just fucked up.
People really post things like this? I saw... mock posts like this on Twitter when Jude law was cast, but I really thought it was just ultraconservative nonsense.
Not to mention, they're promoting Ahsoka Season 2 at this same event...
As a trilogy, it has to be the worst by default.
It doesn't tell a coherent story over 3 movies.
It also lacks the clone wars factor that the prequels had.
"Shines" maybe... if the OG trilogy shines like the Sun, the Sequels feel like more of a brown dwarf imo.
