W H A T

I hate how much my energy is tied to sunlight. The sun starts going down, and my motivation starts to dry up too. But, I have a massive pile of laundry to fold, and I need to exercise and shower…

The thing I meant to do today:
Continue the work organizing/purging my craft room — something that was put on hold all week due to pain and needing to shorten Mom’s pants.

What I ended up doing instead: rolling out of bed, and starting a deep-clean of parts of my house (and ALL the laundry).

It’s trying to tell you something.

Been working at the ongoing craft-supply condensing and re-organizing. I haven’t Purged much yet, but I HAVE still cleared some space just front re-organizing and changing how I sort/categorize things.

Unpopular opinion: It is true that you are under no obligation to educate people. However, it’s kind of yucky to berate a person who doesn’t have the same knowledge base as you. That’s unfair to them AND the issue/cause/whatever you don’t want to educate them about.

Disassembling my abandoned 2020 WIP to salvage the pieces.

Re-wrapping all my lace on smaller cardboard sticks, for easier storage. I have a TON of this, and this wrap is giving Scales.

Still working on the craft mess, but tonight I need to shower first. Hoping to make solid progress tho! This is where I left off last night (working on consolidating things together)

In addition to these two, I WILL decide on a second competition piece, and I also hope to chip away at Garnet’s gown, Amalthea, possibly Princess Sailor Moon, and when I need a shift/break, even some of the nitty-gritty pieces for Terra.

The main reason I want to tackle Earl Gray is for stash busting, and for practicing for Terra — both in fitting the supper corset, and in constructing a Sakizou, even without being AS METICULOUS about details as I plan to be on Terra.

For now, I can definitely say I will be COMPLETING Momohime (Oboro Muramasa) and I will be WORKING on Earl Gray (Sakizou) whether she is my COMPLETED project or not.

… maybe I will just follow the inspiration for that. I want to FINISH one non-competition stash project but I think I’ll just leave choosing which projects to Vibes.

I am maybe sorta slowly starting to circle what my final short-list of costumes I’ll be working on through the end of 2026. I have one of two Competition pieces chosen, and one of up to 2 non-competition projects. But now I’m thinking, since I don’t have to FINISH the non-competition pieces…

Hahaha right? It’s gotten worse since I HAVE actually found uses for small scraps before.

I have… so much white fabric. Cutting off unusable scraps, measuring and labeling all the fabric.

“Hoard Mode” is when my brain doesn’t want to toss out even small pieces because it could be useful, or “purge mode” where I’m totally ready to part with anything that isn’t whole/large uncut pieces.

I’m finally chipping away at the mess that is my craft room and it’s hard because my brain is apparently in Hoard mode. Makes it really difficult.

Finally, FINALLY attempting to chip away at the craft stash and set up for taking photos of my costumes to sell.

Neurotypical really don’t bother to understand NDs do they? I’m reading random discourse surrounding John/Francesca and people critiquing their relationship as Weird/Forced, even reading John as HIDING SOMETHING or CONTROLLING and I’m just over here like…
