I’ve an award winning podcast about all that’s weird and a little off kilter in the town of Biggleswade and Bedfordshire. History with a pinch of the paranormal, folklore & urban legends. I also like cake, cats, beating bosses and disability rights.

Happy St Piran’s Day to all my Cornish listeners.
The next episode of weird in the Wade (out 16/03) is the retelling and exploration of the Cornish legend of Black Humphrey. A tale of ghost ships, smuggling, wreckers and magic.

I went for a lunch time walk and it was so warm and calm. I was surrounded by drunken bees blearily lurching around the sky whilst a yellowhammer glowed gold in a tree. It really felt like spring had sprung.

Today is Day 3 of spotlighting creative women! It's the turn of fabulous Tess. My bestie, weird wing woman but also composer of Weird in the Wade theme music, and special pieces of music for the show. Most recently the creepy doll theme from the Higgins episode. Deets about her music are below 1/2

Ian is a legend, and a lovely one at that! I had the pleasure of hosting and producing videos alongside him during Gamescom, and it was genuinely the highlight of my trip.

In 2017, before my time at IGN, he offered me advice and kind words, and I've always appreciated that. Hire Ian, please!

It’s three years since I visited Stonehenge and this picture popped up in my memories earlier this month. I’d not started the podcast then, in fact had no idea I would. But I wished, whilst I was amongst the stones (we had special access) for new adventures. I got my wish! 💕

We went inland today to the iron age fort of Castle an Dinas. Legendary home to King Arthur’s mum, and once castle to the Duke’s of Cornwall.
Ghostly armies have been seen there, and some very dark deeds haunt its past.
This tree in particular was stunning.
