I bought Mr The Betrayer on a whim a few months back to paint while I read his novel, but project backlog takes no prisoners and he was an obvious target.
This model is surprisingly difficult to both paint and photograph.

When I was researching for my 30k Ultramarine project, I think the answer was, there isn't a source of this.
A few companies or chapters are named with details but otherwise, there is nothing.
There are well over 100 chapters and 1000 companies of Ultras at the outbreak of the heresy.

Sadly you just have to trim the names that become the worst offenders.
I've followed loads of interesting people who have slowly stopped posting about the thing that was interesting about them and swapped to politics.
Periodic trims when it gets too much is the only way

Daemon prince

A modern version of an old daemon prince who uses an old Ghazghkull power claw.
This version is much nicer than my last attempt.

I'm still pushing whatever figures are too close off my to-do list - today, a mixed batch of War of the Roses archers/billmen and foot knights from John Mowbray, Duke of Norfolk's force.

They are Newline. I painted an army a few years back for Lion Rampant, as I had a mate with a Sea Peoples army - so obviously, I've barely seen the guy since and they've never been on the table.
Really nice figures but closer to 25mm than the bigger 28+mm you get from Warlord etc.

Hopefully, having a slightly quieter week, so I'm getting some of my hobby backlog painted.
First up a batch of Tzeentch Daemons in the form of Screamers.

I was painting 8 in one go before I realised the details were going to get dull to do in a big batch.

The next batch will be slightly varied.

I had a plan of booking an organised 10km run every couple of months just to make sure I kept going, but I've just found myself booking one for next month - this might be a running account now?

It's been a long stressful week for a couple of reasons - someone crashing into my car being one of them - but a 10km run at Victoria Park with my brother in law has really helped.

I'm learning that running doesn't solve your problems, or lesson them, but it does give you a break from them.

My World Eaters won on points, but I was completely tabled by his Space Marines.

Female custodes - nothing explicit. So it's fine.
Female first born marines - fluff says it's incompatible. Not ok then.
Primaris, however, this is entirely new fluff you can play with.

I'm pretty sure GW just haven't mentioned it since as it just hasn't come up in conversation.
While those who hate it assume silence is a retcon.

I love the idea of women in the custodes and, ultimately, wouldn't be upset if it turned out Primaris allows it too.
