I can't help feeling like no one actually cares about anyone else. They say they do and go through a few motions, but in the end they all have their own problems to deal with first. It hurts because I've honestly tried to care and it's gotten me nowhere. I don't know what's important to me anymore.

Why am I living? If I leave it all behind and go silent, who would reach out? I feel so alone when it's time to sleep. People say they're my friends, but where are they? Every friend group I've ever had has fallen apart because of drama or something. I have no one to vent to or get advice from.

I mean, I'd like to be wrong. Earlier in my fandom days it certainly seemed like bigger groups within fursuit families did do stuff together, both at cons and between cons. I've been part of at least five big vacation events that were specific to fursuiters of one maker or another. I miss that.

Random thought:

What if cons provided a floor mirror near the exit of fursuit lounges so that fursuiters can see if they look alright before going back out on the con floor?

I have been saying this for years! A few do, but most don't. I feel like a mirror is just as essential for a fursuiter as fans and water! We wanna look good, not just overheat and dehydrate ourselves!

Fursuit families are one of the fandom's biggest myths. Furries rarely hang out in groups because they share a fursuit maker. On occasion, sure, esp at cons because they love any excuse to get photos, but people who happened to comm the same maker are as different from one another as anyone else.
