I knit a lot this year, but by far my favourite project was recreating an old cardigan for a friend. She had posted a childhood picture of herself wearing the original with a comment saying that she would wear it to death if she had one today. This skein of Sun-glo may well be my oldest vintage yarn. This ad from 1938 uses the same logos as the label on my skein, these logos had changed by the next ad I found which was from 1944. #vintageknitting #vintageyarn #WW2vintage #knitsky 🧶

For #showmeyourknits love week I instantly thought of this heart jumper I made for my very loveable mum. I used a 1950s pattern as a base and added the hearts. It’s one of her favourites of all the things that I have made for her ❤️🧶#vintageknitting #knitsky

My latest project is a Susan Crawford Blodini scarf. It’s knit in the round with a different pattern on either side. I’m making it for my mum from cream wool and cerulean alpaca. It’s so soft and warm (maybe too warm for Sydney weather?) I hope she loves it #showmeyourknits WIP week #knitsky 🧶
