This piece is excellent, as was the webinar. A minor correction: a School of SCA was proposed to UI's board of regents in 2025. they rejected the proposal. This spring, UI eliminated African American Studies/ Gender and Women's Studies' majors and dept/program status. so we have less than an SCA.

Please note most federal grants *required* information on how the grants would benefit underserved or understudied groups. If you applied for a grant, you *had to* include something that would speak to diversity and equity.
