Just watched Raiders of the Lost Ark on ITV, cos it's been a long while, and was very nearly outraged by the censorship. The bit where the big nazi gets his head asploded by the propellor? And the little creepy nazi gets his face melted off by the ark? Gone. Both unforgivably cut out.

What I'm saying is "just film that scene" and it'll be fine. It'll work. Viewers can imagine their own plot either side, and it'll be better than whatever YOU invented.

I once tuned into a sitcom half way through that I *thought* was a sketch show, and it worked perfectly on those terms until like the 4th scene when characters returned, and I felt cheated, like the original art I thought I was witnessing was merely formulaic.

Its not silly, and not mandatory *unless* you use iPlayer or watch/record Live TV. If all you do is watch Youtube or Netflix etc you don't have to pay it!

I fully admit their coverage of trans issues is shockingly biased though. And the range of political ideas they allow is skewed rightwards.
