It goes without saying that he sometimes worries Fark bites off more than he can chew. Poor guy carries the weight of the world on him, and he wants to shoulder some of that weight for him if he can.

"I cannot blame you for feeling such things. After all, you've made a substantial life together with him. We may not be organic, but we still feel the same turmoil over the loss of a loved one. I'll do what I can to make this work in a way that minimizes casualties as much as possible."

"So the point is to remind him of his origins so that his personhood isn't just phased out of existence."

If his intuition is correct, will any of the bodies of the GPAs himself included have been preserved? Will he even be able to go back to the real world once this is all over?

"I will, but..." He trails off, the realization finally dawning on him.

"We're not in the real world anymore, are we? We're in Clarity's simulation. I think I get it. Spark is losing sight of who he is because he's become far too integrated into the program, right?" ++

"I'm exhausted with what you have to say. Its all nonsense. A lot of meaningless chatter. Leave my sight at once or perish by my hands."

"Clarity always seems to find a way to come back, huh."

He takes a seat at the edge of the bed, resting a hand on Fark's shoulder in an act of reassurance.

"As exhausting as this all is, we'll find a way to get through this together. She can't get away with this forever."

"Maybe I won't, and I never will, because I'm not about to let that happen. I'm not going down without a fight; you can count on it. I won't give you the satisfaction."

He draws his sword from its scabbord and points it towards her. A simple visual warning, for now.

When Fark comes back online, he's lying in bed with Flint sort of just hovering over him. An immediate sigh of relief as whatever tension and emotional anguish melt away in that moment.

"You're finally awake again, thank Luna."

If he had a heart, it would have sank into his stomach by now. But he keeps it together for Fark's sake. He rushes him to Dr. Armstrong, and together the two work tirelessly to get Fark repaired and operational again. ++

He knows trying to walk in these conditions would prove difficult, so he wants to shoulder that burden for him even if it means oil will get all over himself. He can always clean it off later. Fark's wellbeing is far more important to him than getting a little dirty.

"Even so, you can't be blamed." He's solumn for a moment before speaking again. "In either case, let's get you patched up for now. We can't leave you like this. I fear what would happen to you if left vulnerable for too long." He opts to pick up the smaller gpa into his arms. ++

"Fark!" He shouted out, seeing him from a distance. He kneels down beside him. "Tell me, how did this happen to you?"

"I already know you plan to assimilate us all, and I won't let you do it even if I lose my life trying to stop you."

His hand clenches as he says all this, the determination apparent in the tone of his voice.

"Oh, I know of it; I was just hoping you'd give the full picture. Say what your true intentions are out in the open. Making the world safer is only a fraction of it. Your idea of what counts as making the world safe is entirely backwards and vile." ++

He listens, but he's not convinced, and he knows Fark won't be either.

"And what are these calculations you speak of? What's your plan? Or is this all you have to say to Fark?"

He already knows Clarity's plans for assimilation, but he wonders if she'll come out and say it directly.

𝙻𝚎𝚝 𝚐𝚘 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝐅𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐇 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚕𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚊𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝕄𝕀ℕ𝔻.

"Why you-! Fine... I will relay the message to him, but if you try anything, I won't hesitate to slice you in two."

His stance doesn't relax any. He refuses to let his guard down.

He quickly turns to the familiar voice, if he could scowl right now, he would.

"Its you! State your business!"

His hand rests on the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it at a moment's notice.

"So the second Spark was Clarity this whole time. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. But now our alert must be higher than ever. If Clarity will steal appearances to try to trick others, who knows what else is in store?"

IT'S A BRAND NEW DAY! AND THE SUN IS HIGH!

"I trust your judgement on this. I'll do as you say, even if I don't entirely understand why."

He knew there was a good reason; there had to be. Something certainly felt off, though. Unfortunately, he wasn't aware of the simulation that took place or that he was taking part in it right now.
